- Who is Paula Wilcox?
Paula Wilcox is a British actress of stage,
silver screen, television and radio. She is also
what is known as a 'Britcom Babe', and is quite
possibly the original Britcom Babe! She
was born in 1950 in Manchester, England.
- How did Paula Wilcox begin
her career?
Paula's career began as a student of the National
Youth Theatre, which she attended in the 1960s.
This led to a part in the Granada television
series The Dustbin Men, followed by a
high profile role as 'Beryl Battersby' in The
Lovers.
- What is Man
About The House?
This is probably Paula's most
famous television comedy work, and co-starred
actors Richard O'Sullivan, Sally Thomsett, Yootha
Joyce and Brian Murphy. When student Robin Tripp
is forced to share a flat with modern girls
Chrissy and Jo, there's no end to the comic
situations that arise!

Yes there is, it's by Belle and Sebastian and it's

true?
Yes, sort of. Paula did not appear in any of the
televised episodes, but she did play the
role of Soolin when the show was recently
dramatised on BBC radio.
- Who is Rosie Monaghan?
Apparently, she's a detective of some sort, and
she features in stories written by Alan McDonald.
I don't really know much more than this, but
Paula portrayed her when these stories were
dramatised for radio.
- Is it possible to buy any of
the Rosie Monaghan stories?
Well, you can by the original books, but I'm not
sure about the Paula Wilcox tapes.
- Apart from Rosie, what other
radio and television plays has Paula Wilcox
performed in?
Many, including Merry Wives of Windsor, Blake's
7, and After Dinner Joke.
- Didn't I see Paula Wilcox in

House, Time And The Conways, Pygmalion,

Spirit, and See How They Run. Paula's
performance in Blithe Spirit took her as
far afield as Australia, the Middle East and the
Far East.
